Dog ClipartA Dog - Mans best friend.

I have been a dog lover and owner for nearly 50 years. My first dog was a black Labrador that had been used as a gun dog, she was very active but well behaved.

When I was in my teens our family dog was a golden Labrador, we all know what a well behaved dog is like and this dog certainly was not. I did not want to repeat this experience and in my early 20's I obtained my first two Staffordshire Bull Terriers. I traveled to South Wales Staffie Rescue and brought up a dog and a bitch from puppies bringing into their lives calm assertive leadership.

I realised pack leadership was the key to successful dog training, this had to be ongoing 24/7 dedication and all the family had to be consistent.

In the 80's Bob Whittall got his first Staffie pup from me, when he retired and set up Northern Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue at Ireleth near Askam in Furness I also became involved. I started assessing problem dogs, re homing and home checking in South Lakeland.

I have fostered a number of rescue Staffies and established Pack Leadership with a further 5 of my own rescue Staffies as well as initiating this with rescued re homers and their new keepers.

I give advice to other Staffordshire Bull Terrier owners in relation to their dogs behaviour problems throughout Great Britain and all my experience is now passed on to owners of all breeds of dog.

Pack Leadership results in a well trained dog that is a happy dog and is calm and submissive.

I cover South Lakeland, North West Yorkshire and North Lancashire areas. I live near Kendal and I travel to you giving one to one training.
